Ancestry.com offers access to several databases including The Ancestry World Tree which is composed of pedigree files submitted by visitors to the site.  It is the largest collection of its kind on the Internet.

ArchiviaNet  
ArchiviaNet is an automated research tool that allows you to access a vast amount of information from various databases and automated systems created by the National Archives of Canada. Several different databases make up ArchiviaNet including “Files Created by Government Depts. and Agencies,” “Inventory of Governmental Archive Groupings,” “Canadian Expeditionary Force (First World War),” “Ontario 1871 Census Index,” “Post Offices,” “Dominion Land Grants,” as well as links to films, videos, photographs, works of art, and soundtracks of national importance.

Archives of Ontario
The Archives of Ontario is a government site outlining the resources and services available at the archives.  Click the “Genealogical Research” link to get started. 

Birth, Marriage and Death Records of Ontario  
This site provides a helpful explanation of the Archives of Ontario Vital Statistics index films. It also cross-references their numbers to the corresponding LDS film numbers for Ontario Birth, Marriage and Death Registrations.

Bob’s Your Uncle, Eh!
Developed by staff at the Metro Toronto Reference Library, this site is a search engine that connects users to Canadian genealogical websites and other websites of interest to Canadian genealogists.  Build your search by combining three options (topics, people and places), and the search engine takes you to the relevant websites.

Canadian Expeditionary Forces
The Canadian Expeditionary Forces site lists 600,000 Canadians enlisted in the CEF during the First World War.

Canadian and International Adoption Links
This location contains a directory of links to both Canadian and international adoption sites as well as links to relevant genealogy and history sites.

Canadian Genealogy & History
This site offers a listing of genealogical and historical Web sites for all of Canada.  Over 1800 listings are included and the site is searchable.  The listings are organized by province or territory.  Additional links to cemeteries, military, Loyalists, census, archives, organizations and societies are also included.

Cyndi’s list is a comprehensive site with over 61,850 links and more than 120 categories including family Bibles, land records, deeds, homesteads, and countries around the globe.  To help researchers find information more easily, the site is organized into several categories, and it has a search engine to help zero in on specific topics

Everton’s Genealogical Helper
Everton’s is a commercial site, but a great deal of information at this site is free.  The “Resources for Genealogical Research Outside of the United States” is very useful in pointing out sites from Australia to Wales.  To find this page click on the “Genealogy Reference” link on the home page, then find the column labeled “International,” and click the “Countries” link.

FamilyHistory.com
FamilyHistory.com is a Web site dedicated to the free exchange of genealogical information and ideas between researchers at all levels of experience. Currently, the site features over 50,000 surname, state, country, and genealogical topic message boards. 

Family Tree Maker
This site lets you check to see if there are already branches of your family tree online.  You can also establish your own family tree on the site and share your family history with others.  If you decide to post personal information, you are giving Family Tree the right to repackage and sell the data.

Index to the 1871 Census of Ontario
This database contains the names of the heads of households in the Province of Ontario as they were recorded in April 1871 in the official enumeration of the population of Canada. 

GENUKI Home Page--UK & Ireland Genealogy
GENUKI is a large index of genealogy resources that supplies links to genealogy resources in the British Isles.  Help information for new genealogists is included on the site.

Kindred Konnections
Kindred Konnection is a family history research centre providing links to helpful sites such as the U.S. Social Security Death Index, and the genealogy Cornwall census.  Moreover their searchable database contains 43 million surnames.  Other fee-based services are available. 

Lambton County Branch (Ontario Genealogical Society)
The Lambton County Branch is an association of people who share an interest in family history and genealogy.

Land Records of Ontario
This site explains how land in Ontario was divided and how to determine the lot and concession numbers of your ancestors.  It further explains the types of land records available—crown land grants, instruments, wills, township papers, heir and devisee commissions records, assessment rolls, and how to find them.  It also provides links to Ontario Land Registry Offices.

LDS Family History Library
Sponsored by the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints, The Family Search Internet Genealogy Service allows users to search for ancestors.  Ancestor Search searches Ancestral File, International Genealogical Index, Pedigree Resource File, and web sites (by last name only).

The National Archives of Canada preserves Canada's archival heritage. Founded in 1872, the Archives' collections today include millions of records to assist the genealogist, including texts, photographs, films, maps, videos, books, paintings, prints and government files, that bring the past to life.

The cemetery index is a searchable database of over 2 million interments in Ontario.

Ontario Genealogical Society, Lambton County Branch
Organized in 1984, the Lambton County Branch is a non-profit organization of people sharing an interest in family history and genealogy.

Parent Finders of Sarnia-Lambton
Parent Finders is an organization that helps reunite adoptees with their birth families.  The web page gives tips on starting the search for your birth family.  

Public Record Office
Britain's national archives on-line includes genealogy resources, an image library, and historical data.

RootsWeb.com Home Page
Claiming to be the Internet’s oldest and largest free genealogy community, RootsWeb has over twenty million individuals on file in RootsWeb's World Connect Project.  The site includes links to other sites, information on how to get started with genealogical research, and access to the RootsWeb Surname List containing over 806,000 surname entries.

Utah Genealogical Association
The UGA provides genealogical information, sources, and education on world-wide topics through personal instruction and publications.

The USGenWeb Project
It is the goal of The USGenWeb Project to provide Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. Organization is by county and state, and this website provides you with links to all the state websites which, in turn, provide gateways to the counties.

Vital Records Information for the United States
This page contains information about where to obtain vital records (e.g. birth, death, and marriage certificates, and divorce decrees) from every state, territory, and county in the United States.  It also contains links to vital records web sites in countries besides the U.S.

World Biographical Index
In World Biographical Index the publisher, K.G. Saur, has provided free access to more than two million brief biographical entries for “eminent individuals” of the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.  Entries give birth and death dates, occupation, and titles of sources with additional biographical information.  Sources date from 1601 and stop at mid-twentieth century.
