Home Visitation Program

The Home Visitation Program is essentially a 'peer support' program established cooperatively with the CNIB, covering Sarnia and Lambton County.   There is a cadre of volunteer members from the Sarnia Lambton CCB White Cane Club who have undertaken a "visiting" program.   This involves going into the community and visiting with other blind and visually impaired persons in their homes.  These persons could be Club members, non-members, or referrals from the CNIB.

The purpose/objective of the Home Visitation Program is:

    responding to needs of social interaction;
  • familiarization with daily living skills and aids, community resources information, etc.
