Recreation and Leisure

The Sarnia Lambton CCB White Cane Club sponsors recreational activities.  Locally, there is a six team league of blind and visually impaired bowlers.  This league also participates in regional and provincial tournaments.  Day trips to visit Clubs in other communities are sponsored, as finances permit.

Other activities include:

  • seniors programs;
  • craft classes;
  • art classes;
  • a course to qualify as Ham Radio Operators.

Some members participate in community sponsored sports events.  The Sarnia Lambton CCB White Cane Club encourages members where practical, to participate in community programs.  Within reason, the Club is prepared to support any endeavours that will enhance the well-being and quality of life for the blind and visually impaired of the community.
