Point System- Playing Format
Point System (Round Robin only)
- 2 points for winning each period
- 1 point per team for a tied period
- 4 points for winning the game
- 2 points per team for a tied game
Round Robin Play:
- AAA B & C classification will each consist of one (1) group of eight (8) teams each. The A class will consist of six (6) teams.
- Each team will play three games within their classification.
- Each game will use the 'point' system.
- No overtime will be played in the round robin.
- The top four (4) teams in each classification will go to the semi-finals **
** A team with three wins will automatically qualify for the semi-final, regardless of total points.
Semi-Finals
- The top four (4) teams in each classification ( 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3)
will play until a winner is determined.
- There will be overtime if necessary (10 minute stop time sudden victory).
Finals
- Winners of the Semi-Finals will play until a champion is decided.
- There will be overtime if necessary (10 minute stop time sudden victory).
Ties will be decided by: (applies to round robin only)
- Head to Head if ONLY two teams are tied. The winner of that game (actual score of the game; NOT point
totals) will advance.
- Best goals for and against ( plus/minus) in the tournament will advance. ex. if GF=10 and GA=5, total= +5
- Best Goal % - Goals for / Goals for + Goals Against
e.g. 20 / (20 + 10)
