Furniture
program
The
NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton Resource Centre found that there were families in Sarnia-Lambton
that could not afford sufficient low-cost used furniture to meet their basic
needs. For example, children sleep on the floor because their families cannot
afford enough beds.
To
meet this need, the Resource Centre coordinates a group volunteers from several
NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton member churches to run a community furniture program. These
volunteers put in long hours working together, collecting good used furniture
from donors throughout the city, then giving it to families in need.
If
you wish to donate gently used furniture to this program, please call the NeighbourLink
Resource Centre at
336-5465.
Donated furniture is stored
or picked up by calling the NeighbourLink Resource Centre on Tuesday mornings
for an appointment to meet at Christ Lutheran Church in Bright's Grove (corner of
Lakeshore Road and Telfer Sideroad - at the back of the building).
