The St Thomas Field Naturalist Club has published the book "Photo Field Guide to the Butterflies of Southern Ontario" by Ian Carmichael and Ann Vance and is reviewed in this issue of Earthways by Blake Mann. The Karner Blue Sanctuary walking trail has been remarked. Steel stakes painted blue, always on your right, will guide you around the circular trail. To return to the main gate, follow the yellow signs on your left. Note that there are some steep sections that will require care in inclement weather.
