LWl's own "Mushroom Maestro" and fun guy, Mr. Peter Banks, will show the uninitiated what to look for. Lose your fear and prepare your palate to soar with a promised sample of a soupon of soup. Includes morels, false morels, cup fungi, truffles, false truffles, puffballs, earthballs, gilled & pored mushrooms likely to be found in spring....somewhere.
Annual General Meeting
April 12, 2003
Mandaumin United Church is the venue for the business meeting beginning at 4:00 pm with dinner (real pies for dessert) to follow at 6.
Door prizes just for showing up and, if you're lucky, lots of other really neat donated stuff that could be yours.
Bill Scott will be the guest speaker showing some of his collection of slides and commenting on the Scotts trips to the Galapogas Islands, Equador and Peru, with emphasis on the Galapagos and their wildlife.
Tickets will be available at the March indoor meeting or can be reserved by contacting George Sunaitis, Don Smith or Diane Haselmayer. Tickets are $12 and are required ahead of time so that the number of attendees can be verified for the church staff. Also please note that as the AGM is so early this year I do not expect to get the April issue of Earthways out until after the meeting, so please mark your calendars now rather than depending on Earthways to remind you.
