Beautiful but Deadly

Amanita muscaria or the Fly Agaric is the most-illustrated mushroom in the world. You have seen it on greeting cards, calendars, posters, candles, curtains, key chains, pottery, dishes, in children's books, and in plastic and concrete reproductions on lawns. It gets its common name from the ancient practice of using mixed with milk to stupefy flies. It is poisonous and hallucinogenic. It can be found in Pinery Provincial Park from August to October.
