Garlic Mustard Pull

Time: 6:00 p.m. Lambton Wildlife will assist the Sarnia Urban Wildlife Committee (under the direction of Art Teasell)
in the elimination of Garlic Mustard, an alien, invasive species in the woodlot at the Bright's Grove sewage lagoons.

Botany on the Bruce Weekend (Lion's Head Area)

Meet Friday May 30 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lion's Head Marina parking lot.
This year we will co-ordinate our activities around Parks Canada's "Orchid Festival".
Early reservations should be made near Lion's Head for B&B accommodations, camping or motel. Michael Runtz will be the featured speaker in Tobermory on Saturday evening.

Swamp Cottonwood Hunt in Bickford Oak Woods

Populus heterophylla has been found for the first time in Canada in Bickford Woods,
762 acres in south Lambton acquired last year by the Nature Conservancy.

Walpole Island Rare Prairie Plants

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at St. Clair High School or 10:00 a.m. at the Walpole Island Heritage Centre. Clint Jacobs of the Walpole Island First Nation will take us on a tour of the Island's outstanding prairies. Lunch will be provided at a cost of $6 (special diets accommodated). There will also be a $7 charge to help save their exceptional wild areas.
