Organizational Changes since 1966

Since 1966 there have been a number of significant changes in the organization of Lambton Wildlife. The sequence of changes is outlined below:

1966-70 Lambton Field Naturalists.
A president and a group of elected officers ran the organization.

1970-73 Lambton Wildlife Trust.
Same organization structure but different focus of activities

1973-87 Lambton Wildlife Incorporated.
Two separate governing groups.
1 - The Executive, which consisted of the elected President and a group of elected and appointed officers. The Executive did all the work of running the organization. The President was not a member of the Board but other members in the Executive could be.
2 - The Board of Directors. This consisted of 15 elected Directors. The Chairman of the Board was the President ('73 - '76) and then the Past-president ('77 - '87). The Board was not involved in day to day of LWI. All executive action had to be approved by the Board.

1987- Lambton Wildlife Incorporated
One governing group. All of the day to day operation and long range planning are done by the Board of Directors. The President is now the Chairman of the Board, and the Past-president is a Director as well.
