A 10-week program for children ages 6-9 and 10-13 designed to improve social skills and build self-esteem.
The Learning Disabilities Association of Lambton County through the Kid's Positive Program strives to enable children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD to reach their full social and emotional potential.
Although the program is deigned for children with learning disabilities or ADHD, a diagnosis is not required in order to take the program. The class size is set at a maximum of 10 children per session to allow for optimal learning. Children who take the program can have challenges interacting with their peers and/or problemss making or keeping friends. Please register quickly to secure a spot.

12. Wrap upNOTE: Programs are based on the specific needs of the children attending the class. Please indicate to the instructor if you would like to have your child learn about specific social skills.
Kids Positive Social Skills Program (10 week sessions). Children 6-13 years meet once a week. Topics covered in ten week sessions include assertiveness, friendship making and manners, conversation skills, teasing/bullying, decision making skills, reaction to stress situations, problem solving and negotiating with others. Next ten week session begins Wednesday, September 28, 2007 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Cost $60 for members, $125 for non-members (membership fee $50 per year).
