KINSMEN CLUB
OF SARNIA
OAK ACRES PARK PROJECT 2001

The Kinsmen Club of Sarnia donated $25,000 to the City of Sarnia for the installation of new playground equipment in Oak Acres Park on Sarnia's north side. The equipment was purchased to commemorate the Kinsmen serving Sarnia for 70 years. The playground has been in use for a few months now, but the ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday June 9th, 2001, at the park. Sarnia's Mayor Mike Bradley was on hand to cut the ribbon, and to spend a moment with some of Sarnia's youth.

We had a beautiful spring day, with neighbours from the community around the park coming out to enjoy the day, and to thank the Kinsmen for the new equipment, and to enjoy a barbeque manned by the Kinsmen, on site serving hotdogs, pop, and chips.

We hope that the Oak Acres community enjoys their new playground equipment for years to come.
