New Location for Ultreyas
Held on the second Friday of the month from 8:00 PM until 10:00 PM. It is a monthly gathering of Cursillistas, people who have made a Cursillo weekend, who wish to keep in touch with one another. Also, it is a good event for Cursillistas to bring potential Cursillo candidates to, since it shows the atmosphere of a typical Cursillo weekend. It is usually started first with a mass, followed by a social program. Usually the program entails announcements, a speaker, discussion time, and refreshments to finish.
All 2008 Ultreyas will be held at Thomas Aquinas Church on Champlain St. in Sarnia.
May Ultreya
The February Ultreya will be held on Friday, May 9th. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Sarnia. Mass will start at 8:00 pm followed by the Ultreya program.
The dates for the 2008 Cursillos are:
Men's: April 24 - 27, 2008 - cancelled
Women's: May 29 - June 1, 2008
The Cursillos will be held for the first time in the Parish Hall of St. Joseph's, Corunna. We thank Fr. Jim for his generous support.
Petrolia Monthly Get Together
Held the fourth Wednesday of the month from 7:30 PM until 9:30 PM at St. Philip's Parish in Petrolia. There is social time before and after the meeting. The meeting involves singing, and hearing readings from scripture or viewing a video, followed by a discussion. On the Wednesday prior to a Cursillo, there is usually a pot luck dinner at 6:30 PM to promote sponsorship. For more information about sponsorship please contact Elizabeth and Emile Strydonck.
Saturday Gathering for Mass/Breakfast in Sarnia
About ten to twenty Cursillistas in our area currently join together to share a happy (often noisy) breakfast from 9:00 – 10:30 AM on Saturday mornings. Prior to the breakfast, most individuals attend the 8:30 AM Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Sarnia.
All Cursillistas are most welcome to attend either the Mass and/or the breakfast at any time without commitment or prior notification!
