Sherry Myers was born and raised in Sarnia. Art was always a great interest but was never seriously pursued until 2002. In high school her favorite pastime was to sketch, doing a lot of figure drawing. She finally took a ten week watercolor class with Ariel Lyons and has continued to learn through watercolor and oil painting classes. She has been taught by Ariel, Kathy Rath, and Karen Campbell. She loves the freedom of painting with water based oils, and the ability to glaze over repeatedly. Lately, she has been working in watercolor and is interested in learning more about landscapes. She currently is raising two sons which is her primary focus at the moment, but is really looking forward to more frequent classes and endless opportunities to learn about painting.
