Personally I don't believe in harm reduction. I am a drug addict, and I know you cannot teach people to control their drug use because drugs in all forms control you. Drugs are a very addictive substance and once an addict always an addict.

I have been clean since 1989. Most people think I am cured, but there is no cure. Yes it has been 10 years since I've smoked crack or marijuana or any of the other drugs I used, but I still get the cravings and it takes everything I've got not to let the drugs win. But there are other addicts who aren't so lucky.

The only way to stop this addiction is to make it a criminal offense to use and possess any drugs. (Reprinted with permission of the writer. L.F.I.A. Newsletter)
